About The Crimson List

The Crimson List features the best luxury hotels, restaurants and bars from London and beyond.

It aims to become your reliable guide to the best experiences and venues in and around London. We aim to encourage you to try something new and venture outside of your ‘regulars’.

Our mission

London is thankfully awash with fantastic places to eat, sleep and relax. But that same abundance also makes it difficult to differentiate between what is good and bad.

The team behind The Crimson List knows from experience that it can be easier for Londoners to get stuck in a rut. We can end up going to the same locations over and over again. There is an appeal to going to your regular haunt, saying ‘hello’ to the waiter who you know by name. Or treating yourself to the starter, drink or spa treatment that you know and love.

But it is can also become samey, boring and, even dare we say, tiresome.

The Crimson List provides you with a regular dose of information on the latest venues that you have to try. It urges you to do something different, travel across town and test your usual boundaries.

What qualifies for coverage

In order to be covered on the website the venues have to be solidly within London, perhaps no more than a 30-minute journey from Leicester Square by car or taxi.

The venues that we cover also have to be ‘luxurious’, which can be a difficult term to define. It means different things to different people, and we actively embrace that.

When we say luxury what we really mean is some ineffable and indefinable. It is the sense of pleasure and relaxation that you feel when you go into a new place and everything feels right. The decor is thought through. The food or drink have been carefully selected. And, perhaps most importantly, the service is impeccable.

Who runs the website

The magazine is written by a team of born-and-bred Londoners who feel that they understand quality when they see it.

The website is run by the team full-time, and we always do our best to make sure that the magazine is moving in the right direction. We’re aim to deliver our readers the latest information before it hits anywhere else.

Although we try to ensure all the information we provide is accurate at the time of publishing, we cannot provide any guarantees that the information is accurate and without error and we do not take any liability for any inaccuracies.
