The Imperial Treasure Group, who operate Michelin-starred restaurants in East Asia, have opened their first restaurant in London.
The group specialising in east-Asian cuisine has 23 restaurants across Singapore, China, Hong Kong and South Korea.
Their Shanghai restaurant has won two Michelin stars, and their Singapore and Hong Kong restaurants have one Michelin star each.
Now the group has come to London and it has also been announced that it will continue to expand in Europe and open a restaurant in France next year.
Imperial Treasure’s food and drink
According to the restaurant, Imperial Treasure “offers an extravagant dining experience as diners savour the best classic Chinese cuisine.”
And, indeed classics abound here. Leading the menu is Imperial Treasure’s signature Peking Duck, sliced at your table, with traditional sides, shredded cucumber, spring onions and warm pancakes.
There are some wonderful blends of Chinese and Western cuisine here too, highlights include:
- Marinated Foie Gras with Beancurd
- Honey Glazed Iberico Char Siu Pork
- Crispy Corn Fed Chicken with Almond Flake
And, of course, there is a daily dim-sum menu for an authentic Hong Kong experience.
To drink, the twenty-page wine list is extensive, including red, whites, dessert wines and sakés. There are some exquisite treats here, including a 2005 Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru.
